Dear Ms. Ronstadt; My name is Karriem Shabazz. I am an American of African descent living and studying in the Holy Lands. I am writing to solicit your support for a project I think is very worthwhile. I have partner shipped with the local T.V. station here to present the history of the development of the Zionist State of Israel. It is the first comprehensive film to come from the Arab World documenting these events.
I have documented the events leading up to the most expensive debacle the United States has ever been involved in. The need for this film is that in violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution, Americans are being kept deaf, dumb and blind to the truth of America's foreign policy in the Holy Lands and the Arab world.
The title of my documentary is: “The Struggle to Save al-Aqsa and the Holy Lands.” This production is a prelude to regular monthly 30-minute programs I intend to produce for the silent American majority. The target population for my productions are the white, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, Catholic, non-Zionist Jew, registered voter, tax payer.
I have contacted you because you have strong contacts in the media. This is not the typical unbalanced and censored footage of Philistine the Zionist owned networks normally show. Therefore, because of its controversial nature and content it has been virtually impossible to get it on air. I need outlets in the United States, Europe and the world. All of my productions include professionally produced film footage of historical incidents that have and are happening here in the Holy Lands.
My purpose for producing this film is to stop the killing of Philistinian youth. I believe that when America, and the world see this film and its riveting narration that it will activate the hearts of the American people and they will be moved to action. They will contact their political representatives in Washington and tell him to bring this situation to an end by forcing the Zionists to the peace table in earnest; or face decreased appropriations from the $7 billion annually that is sent to this region by American tax payers to kill young rock throwing boys and innocent school girls. Statistics show that there were 350 children killed by Israeli soldiers; and the majority of these children were either going to or coming from school.

Recently I was in a music store and saw a "Greatest Hits" CD of yours. I could hardly wait to get home to listen to it! I put it in the stereo, cranked it, and sang along with you, remembering every word to every song. When I was a kid, my mom gave me one of your albums for my birthday. I listened to it over and over and probably drove my brothers crazy. I'm the youngest boy of 5 brothers. They were all into Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull and the like at the time. Even at such a young age, I felt the emotions in your songs. A couple of weeks had past and I had almost given up hope. I remember coming home from school one day and before going in the house, I checked the mailbox. I was extactic to see an envelope addressed to me from the governers office! I ran in the house, ripped open the envelope and there was a letter stamped from Mr. Jerry Brown with information about your fan club and an autographed picture of you! I am not trying to get a hand out, but perhaps some kind of business venture where we both can make money. I have been interested in vehicle security since 1997. I get sick when I hear of peoples property stolen , damaged , and even lives lost from such a preventable problem as car theft. I have looked at many vehicle security devices and there weakness, and endeavored to build a device that is easy to install and also user friendly, and very difficult to remove. I have built prototypes, and have used one on my vehicle for three years even in big cities, and always felt comfortable that my car would always be there where I parked it. I also installed one on an old truck in an auto wreaker and it took three big men 4min. 56 seconds to remove it, only by braking the floorboard because of too ridged a base. This has since been redesigned to be flexible. It was encouraging to see one person could not remove it. It is loose enough installed, that it cannot be cut with a hacksaw, since it is made with good strong steel. The lock cannot be frozen because it is incased with steel and a small air space. These men ! tried with hammers and feet to remove it and only exhausted themselves. Since joy rides and theft of vehicles for the purpose of committing a crime are the main reasons for general auto theft, I know this will be a very good and secure type of vehicle theft deterrent. I have a U.S. patent and applied for an international patent with the help of a company in Ireland, who have done up for me a confidential research report, on North America, and Europe and are at this time trying to find manufactures all around the world that would be interested in building this device that I call "Brake Lock. There is some simple electronics that serve as a trade mark, as well as takes care of the brake light problem. I recently have had interest from England and Illinois and hope to get a positive response from them. Auto theft is a huge problem everywhere. I know it will make a difference. But it will only make a difference if people will use it. Eric, at the age of 10, was a victom of a hit and run driver and left with every bone in his body broken. He has a 68 degree bend in his spine, is paralyzed from his neck down. He has daily migrane headaches. To add heart ache to misery for his family, the insurance cancelled out on them.
The current van the family owns is old and not as reliable for the over 100 mile required trips to the hospital. Eric will be facing surgury to relieve pressure where his spine is restricting circulation of blood The doctors will try to straighten it with a series of rods, but even so, it's a dangerous proceedure. Please pray for Eric and his family.His family is loving and devoted to his care, but resources are limited. Help us to get them a new van!

I have been a fan of yours since 1978, when I was eight years old. Just before Christmas of that year, my aunt was playing your then-new album "Living In The U.S.A." I really got into your stuff, particularly all the classic country-rock albums you've made.
I know you're not in the best of health any longer, but I want you to know that I still think you do country, rock, and folk better than any other female singer around. Your voice doesn't sound like it's lost a step since you first came along in 1967.
I'm sure you know how much country singer Trisha Yearwood reveres you. It's just a suggestion (and perhaps a crazy one at that), but an album featuring you and Trisha would be fun to do before you really retire. In my humble opinion, it would be another artistic triumph for you.
In any case, you've bought a lot of passion to rock and roll, and I think you are the greatest.

Dear Ms. Ronstadt:
On this eve of a new century, and at my half-century mark, I can’t help but reflect on those influences that have had a permanent affect on my life, making it a more pleasant, enjoyable, and sometimes more tolerable experience.
One of the most profound has been your music. Having spent my childhood in the 50’s and adolescence in the 60’s with a life long interest in and affinity for music from the 30’s and 40’s, I developed a keen appreciation of varied styles, arrangements, vocal and instrumental sounds.
My discovery of your musical versatility has become, over the years, a feeling of awe and admiration for the effects of your talent. I have experienced such a “rush” only on rare occasions from only a few performers.
Of particular significance to me, in addition to your popular and ethnic performances and the “Trio” productions, are the arrangements you performed with Mr. Nelson Riddle. My compliments to you for this unique accomplishment! You have contributed an irreplaceable and priceless aspect to my life this past 15 years. Thank You!
I am confident that this new century will bring with it even more musical masterpieces from the consummate artist, which I consider you to undoubtedly be.
